How To Send Sysx Data To Ensoniq Sd1

Dx7

Whatever data you send using say MIDI-OX, make sure you slow the speed of the transfer down to allow the data to be received in full and intact. Yamaha SY55, TG55 + ALL WAVE & DATA card sets. Yamaha MU100R x4 + PLG100-VH, VL, DX, PLG150-AN, DR, AP.

Taking advantage of the opportunity I have one more question that bothered me. Is it possible to load to TG-33 or SY-85.mid files? Having only a single.mid file and not having.syx? I have some patches/soundbanks, but only files in.mid format. Can someone explain whether the.mid file contains the same messages as.sysex (in this case, the voice/sound)?So far, I've been using SysEx Librarian on Mac, but as the name suggests it only reads sysex files. Midi files failed to upload. I tried some time ago the MIDI OX program, but somehow I could not send it to my TG-33.Thanks in advance for any valuable advice.Regards.

I have some patches/soundbanks, but only files in.mid format. All I can offer here regarding file names for the SY85.are these file EXTENSIONSI'm not sure about the TG-33? - may be the same. Or not.Sequences/Voices/Banks are.G01 -.G99Samples (.WAV) Files become.W01 -.W99 (check what bit/kHz the SY expects)Midi Files (.MID) become.X01 -.X99 (check for type 0/1 compatibility if importing to the SY)Also, if you have MYSONG1.X01 and MYSONG2.X01 (the system WILL allow this) on the SAME DISK -only the FIRST.X01 will display in a listing. You can RENAME MYSONG1.X01 to MYSONG1.mid and it will behave as a midi file in your PC, or elsewhere.I'm pretty sure this will work the other way - from.mid to.X01 - but check which TYPE (0 or 1) midi file the SY expectsparametric. They'll take you where you should not go - (George Harrison)IT'S TRUE - 'MONEY TALKS' - TO ME, IT MOSTLY SAYS 'GOODBYE'. Back in my Atari STE days with Cubase, I would often slow the tempo at the beginning of the song to allow all the seperate sys exc bulk dumps to complete. Once those were in the song would switch to the tempo of the actual music.
