My Asus Laptop Speakers Are Too Quiet

I have been plagued for over a year with a problem on my Lenovo T420 laptop: the internal speaker volume is ridiculously low. The problem is acutely felt when trying to listen to a Facebook or YouTube video even while sitting in a quiet room — I have to strain my ears to make out what is being said.

Or when sharing a DVD with friends or family without external speakers. As I said, not enjoyable at all.I was therefore happy to see that solved my problem:Try the following (courtesy of infinus):To make your speakers louder, right-click the speaker icon in the right bottom corner of your screen playback devices speakers properties enhancements check loudness equalization.This will help make your speakers somewhat louder.Sure enough, when I opened speaker icon Playback Devices Speakers Properties Enhancements dialog, I found the “Disable all enhancements” option checked. Re: Speaker volume too low. Right-click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'. Left click the default device once to highlight it (it’s usually 'speakers & headphones’) then click the Properties button. Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Loudness Equalization'. Click Apply to save.

Fix Laptop Speaker No Sound

I am not so good with computers but would like to give it a try myself if there is an easy solution. Thanks in advance 🙂Kiara.
